How Talent Managers and Agents Use Eleven.

TL;DR

Eleven enables agents and managers to work together to score loads of cash for their clients.

Collaboration between talent agents and managers provides a steady stream of income for your clients. There’s a direct incentive for both parties to work in tandem, as their collective revenue depends on how well they serve the client. You can see here how agents and managers are on the same team.

This is the application of those plays via the Eleven platform.

Scenario 1 : Funding Creative Visions Using the Mood Board.

Scenario 1 : Funding Creative Visions Using The Mood Board

Managers use the Mood Board to help illustrate what their client wants for their career, so that an agent can pitch it to a brand.

For example, if PewDiePie says Hey, manager. I want to do a series like Scare PewDiePie, but in VR, and way more fun.” All the manager has to do is use the Mood Board to illustrate that idea. They can do this in a variety of ways: by attaching documents, videos, or other media, using an example (like last season's trailer), a synopsis, or brainstorming.

The manager then says to his agent via Eleven: “Hey, we want do this next season; can you score us a budget? We have some sponsors in mind. Let’s discuss the board attached.” Boom, now the roles have shifted. The agent is now put into the role of sourcing the deal flow to fund that creative vision.

Scenario 2: Handing off Sales Leads to the Agent.

Managers use Eleven to keep their entire team updated on the day-to-day activities of their talent rosters.

For example, if a manager goes to Vidcon and gets along well with the CMO of a game publishing company, it may develop into a working relationship.

All they have to do is whip out a note and put it onto Eleven. It can something very simple, such as:

“I think there’s some synergy to be explored between PewDiePie and [Game Publisher]. We had conversations over drinks while at Vidcon about possible integrations with PewDiePie. I told them I would have my people call their people.”

Boom! Again, the dynamic shifts and this deal can be initiated on Eleven. The manager doesn’t even have to know the specifics of the deal just yet, as this will happen through collaboration between them and the agent before it’s pitched.

Scenario 3 : Calendar Updates

Because managers are closest to the talent, they're going to know where they are and what they’re up to at all times, similar to a point guard that can set up a no-look pass with ease by knowing where his teammates are at all times; this is called “court vision”.

If PewDiePie has a vacation scheduled during the shooting of that season of content, his manager can use that schedule change to make sure PewDiePie is capitalizing on his everyday lifestyle.

So, all they would do is use their calendar and select the dates when he will be out of the country. This calendar can sync with his programming calendar, which uses their day to day content offerings  to find integration opportunities

For Example If PDP has a flight scheduled, he may be able to:

  • Get that flight’s cost covered in exchange for Shapchatting about or while on his flight by an airline
  • Get a snack sponsor like Ruffles or Sour Patch Kids to feature in his vlog about his trip
  • Get a rideshare sponsor to integrate in his content and use Snapchat while going to and from the airport

All his manager has to do is update, and ping his Agent like "Hey, this is what's new, Let's make some moves" - and Boom - Manager's job is done and he's successfully handed off the dealflow.

They can do lots of integrations based on what a creator is doing in their daily lives. This is what’s so cool about Digital Talent: these are real people, with real lives, that use products and services every single day.

This is no different from a big event, like the Met Gala or the Oscars; every major designer wants to be on the top celebrity during those red carpet events because they want the attention and exposure. Every day is a red carpet event over here!
